Teaching Artist, Director, Designer
Leah Towle is a Teaching Artist, Director, and Costume Designer based in Lawrence, KS. She focuses on activating students' artistry, using theater as tool to help students to gain self-awareness, and arts integration. She teaches ages 5 through adult in the Lawrence Arts Center's School of Theatre and Music and teaches 1st-5th graders in their Artspace STEAM Education program. Recently Leah has been teaching preschool art, music, and theater. Leah has trained through the Lincoln Center Education Teaching Artist Learning Lab and has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Bethel College in North Newton, KS. She has experience designing curriculum for the education program at Morry's Camp in Glen Spey, NY. Her upcoming projects include collaborating on a devised performance for very young audiences titled Splash and directing a devised piece for the Lawrence Arts Center's Summer Youth Theatre. |
